CARTA 3 — Team Recommendations: Glass Top Water Level

Recommended fill level — water sitting slightly above the Focus V logo.

The amount of water in your CARTA 3 glass top plays an important role in your overall experience. While it may seem like a small detail, maintaining the proper water level helps optimize vapor production, preserve flavor, and ensure smooth, effective water filtration.

Rather than filling the water below the Focus V logo, we recommend filling the glass so the water level sits slightly above the Focus V logo. This fill level has consistently provided the best balance of filtration and airflow during our internal testing. See the reference image above for the recommended water level.

What Happens If the Water Level Is Too Low?

If the water level is below the recommended height, you may notice:

  • Reduced water filtration
  • Hotter or harsher vapor
  • Less consistent vapor production
  • A less satisfying overall session

What Happens If the Water Level Is Too High?

Overfilling the glass can also negatively affect performance and may increase the likelihood of water entering areas where it shouldn't. For the best experience, avoid filling the glass significantly above the recommended level shown in the reference image.

Best Practices

  • Fill the glass slightly above the Focus V logo before each session.
  • Replace the water regularly to maintain the cleanest flavor.
  • Empty the glass before transporting your CARTA 3.
  • Always remove the glass from the base before filling or emptying it.
