CARTA 3 — Deep Clean
Updated Oct 12, 2026 3 min read
Regular cleaning is essential to keep your CARTA 3 performing at its best. Proper maintenance helps preserve flavor, maintain vapor production, and extend the lifespan of your device and atomizer.
Recommended Cleaning Schedule
To keep your CARTA 3 operating optimally, follow this recommended maintenance schedule:
- Swab the atomizer chamber: After every session
- Soak the atomizer: Every 25 sessions
- Perform a full deep clean: Every 50 sessions
Keeping up with routine maintenance reduces residue buildup and minimizes the need for extensive cleaning.
Part 1: Cleaning the Glass Top
Before cleaning, make sure your CARTA 3 is powered off.
- Remove the glass top from the base.
- Empty any remaining water.
- Rinse the glass thoroughly with warm water.
- Fill the glass with 91% isopropyl alcohol.
- Cover the openings using the included stopper or your fingers to prevent spills.
- Gently shake the glass to dissolve any residue or staining.
- Empty the alcohol.
- Rinse the glass thoroughly with clean water.
- Allow the glass to dry completely before reinstalling it onto the device.
Part 2: Cleaning the Airpath and Base
- Remove both the glass top and atomizer.
- Carefully remove the CONNECT Airpath from the base.
- If heavy residue is present, place the airpath in a refrigerator for 5–10 minutes to help harden the buildup before cleaning.
- Dampen a lint-free cloth with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Gently wipe away any visible residue from the base.
- Immediately dry the base after cleaning to avoid prolonged liquid contact.
Part 3: Cleaning the Atomizer
Before You Begin: Have 70% isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs available.
- Clean the threads on the bottom of the CARTA 3 atomizer using a cotton swab lightly moistened with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Remove all silicone components from the atomizer.
- Gently swab the inside of the atomizer chamber with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Submerge only the atomizer in 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Allow it to soak for approximately 5 minutes.
- Gently agitate the alcohol if needed to loosen stubborn residue.
- Remove the atomizer and allow it to air dry completely.
- Inspect the chamber for any remaining residue. Repeat the soak if necessary.
- Once fully dry, reinstall all silicone components.
Clean the Atomizer Contacts
After reinstalling the silicone components:
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean the gold contact points.
- Carefully clean around the buttons and exterior of the base as needed.
- Finish by wiping everything with a clean, dry lint-free cloth.
Cleaning the CONNECT Airpath
While the atomizer is removed:
- Remove the CONNECT Airpath from the base.
- Thoroughly clean the airpath using 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Use cotton swabs or small cleaning tools to remove residue from internal channels.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.
- Snap the airpath back into place.
- Reinstall the atomizer and glass top.
Cleaning Tips
- Always allow every component to dry completely before reassembling your CARTA 3.
- Never soak the device base or expose its electronics to liquid.
- Routine swabbing after every session significantly reduces residue buildup and extends the time between deep cleanings.
- Using the recommended cleaning schedule will help maintain flavor, vapor quality, and overall device performance.
