CARTA Classic Over/Under Heating Troubleshooting
The CARTA Classic device may encounter issues with insufficient heating. This troubleshooting guide provides steps to address this problem specifically for the CARTA Classic model. The initial steps involve updating the firmware to the latest version and manually recalibrating the atomizer. Unlike the CARTA 2, the CARTA Classic does not have an app-based recalibration option. Additionally, an external temperature reader is required to ensure the device is reset at the correct temperature.
1. Update Firmware:
- Connect the Classic device to the CARTA Browser app (https://support.focusv.com/hc/en- us/articles/360040475811-The-CARTA-App), if available.
- Check for available firmware updates and proceed with the update process.
- Updating the firmware can resolve software-related issues that may impact heating performance.
2. Recalibrate Atomizer - Manual Method:
- Use an external temperature reader to measure the resting temperature of the CARTA OG/Classic device. Ensure it is as close to 77°F (25°C) as possible.
- Press the power button on the device four times consecutively.
- On the fourth press, continue holding the power button until you observe a reset or calibration process. Refer to the device's user manual for specific indications or instructions.
- Release the power button once the calibration process is complete.
3. Verify The Calibration:
- Fire the unit, and allow for a complete heat-up. Once reached ensure the temperature reading matches the desired resting temperature.
- If the temperature reading is not within the desired range, repeat the manual recalibration process until the desired temperature is achieved.
4. Still Having Issues? Register Your Product and Submit Warranty Claim:
- If the heating issue persists despite recalibration attempts, it is recommended to register the CARTA OG/Classic product and submit a warranty claim.
